Building State Farm Classic+: Designing the end-to-end experience of a strategic collaboration between Hagerty Insurance and with the nation's largest passenger vehicle insurer,  State Farm®

PROJECT BACKGROUND

Hagerty, the leading insurer of classic vehicles, was a long-time partner with our design agency, Superformula. Together, we developed best-in-class driver experiences and products such as Hagerty Drivers Club. In 2021, they came to us with a new project: a collaborative product with the nation’s largest private passenger vehicle insurer to create State Farm Classic+.

THE PROBLEM

Both State Farm and Hagerty, two complex entities with thousands of employees managing millions of policies, required one seamless solution that integrated into both their systems. This would enable classic car owners to bundle their classic car insurance policies with home and traditional auto insurance.

THE SOLUTION

Our design agency developed an efficient, seamless digital experience between the two complex systems that allowed agents to insure customers’ classic cars with Hagerty within a State Farm policy. Throughout the process we focused on maintaining data integrity, security and the brand ethos of each distinct auto insurer.
